Gravity as Belonging

Invitation In
What grounds me when I feel unsteady?

Whisper

You don’t have to rise to be worthy.
You don’t have to be light to be lovable.
You don’t have to float to be free.

Let yourself be heavy.
Let yourself sink.

Gravity isn’t holding you down —
it’s holding you here.

The earth has never once let go of you.
Not even when you forgot to notice.

This weight you carry?
It may be the very thing that keeps you real.

What This Might Be

In a world that tells us to “lift,” “push,” “ascend,”
it can feel strange to allow heaviness.

But grounding isn’t about effort.
It’s about contact.
It’s about letting the floor hold you
without apology.

Feeling heavy is not a flaw.
It’s a signal that your body is coming back —
into gravity, into presence, into place.

Questions to Carry

  • What helps me feel more connected to the ground — literally or emotionally?

  • When do I resist stillness or weight — and why?

  • Where in my life might I be ready to land?

Gesture of Care

The Weighted Pause
Lie down or sit with your back supported.
Place a small object (a folded towel, warm stone, or pillow) over your chest or belly.

Let yourself feel the pressure.

Let your body know:

“You are allowed to rest.”
“You don’t have to hold it all alone.”

Stay for 3–5 minutes.
Let your breath deepen under the weight.

Grace

Belonging begins when we stop trying to lift off.
Let gravity be your permission —
to be here,
to be held,
to be enough
right where you are.
